Gameweek 32’s main focus was the top of the table clash between Man City and Liverpool as the two sides played out their second 2-all draw of the campaign to stay 1st and 2nd respectively. Chelsea bounced back from their thumping against Brentford to beat Southampton 6-0 and stay 3rd. Arsenal failed to capitalise on their chances by losing 2-1 at home to Brighton while Spurs thumped Aston Villa 4-0. Elsewhere Everton beat Man Untied 1-0 to move further away from relegation danger too.
There was a GW average of 48 points, with three out of six players returning points. With more to play for come the end of the season, injuries and rotations play a big role so any managers still left with chips will need to use them wisely and transfer timing will be key too.

1. Heung-Min Son – 21 points (77 minutes, three goals, clean sheet, 3BPS)
2. Mason Mount – 19 points (68 minutes, two goals, one assist, clean sheet, 3BPS)
3. Timo Werner – 15 points (90 minutes, two goals, one assist, 2BPS)
Let’s take a look at this week’s picks, reviewing their GW32 performance and previewing their GW33 points potential, looking at recent form and favourable fixtures.
1. Heung-Min Son – £11.1m (MID); 27.1% ownership
GW32 review – performance noted under top 3 performers
GW33 preview – Brighton (H)
Son is only two points away from being the 2nd FPL player to reach 200 FPL points this season. He has been on fire of late, scoring 48 points in the last three GWs, including six goals and an assist. Spurs are into the top 4 and face Brighton at home, who despite beating Arsenal last week, have been on a mixed run of form. Expect Son, in partnership with Kane (£12.5) and Kulusevski (£6.3m) to keep up their form and solidify 4th spot.
2. Kelechi Iheanacho – £7.1m (F)R); 3.9% ownership

GW33 preview – Newcastle (A); Everton (A)
Iheanacho would have been disappointed not to start last week vs Crystal Palace but will make a strong case to start in at least one of Leicester’s fixtures this DGW. The Nigerian has scored in bursts this season with three goals and five assists but will remain the top choice with Vardy (£10.3m) out for the foreseeable future.
3. Harvey Barnes – £6.6m (MID); 4.2% ownership

Despite Leicester’s poor form this season, they still find themselves in 9th place with an outside shot at European places due to the three games in hand that they still have. Barnes hasn’t been spectacular by his own standards this season but is on course to reach 100 FPL points for a third consecutive season. He has three goals and eight assists this season and will want to end this season strongly as well as start well next season to make a push for England’s 2022 World Cup squad.
4. Bryan Mbeumo – £5.2m (MID); 1.5% ownership

GW33 preview – Watford (A)
Bryan Mbeumo has been many FPL managers’ go-to OOP option this season. The Frenchman has had his struggles but has provided good support to Toney (£) with four goals and seven assists this season. He did well against European chasers West Ham last week and will want to continue that against a leaky Watford defence.
5. Gabriel Jesus – £8.4m (FOR); 4.7% ownership
GW32 review – 9 points (82 minutes, one goal, 3BPS)
GW33 preview – Brighton (H)
Jesus made a brilliant return to City’s starting lineup scoring a neat goal against Liverpool last week. I expect him to start vs Brighton, although Pep’s roulette has become even trickier considering he’s said they’ve got some injuries now. Nevertheless, Jesus has struggled for goals this season, only getting three but returning seven assists in that time. The Brazilian will be key to Pep in the run to the end of the season as City need maximum points to keep Liverpool away from their title.
6. Maxwel Cornet – £5.9m (MID): 1.4% ownership

GW33 preview – West Ham (A); Southampton (H)
Maxwel Cornet has been a revelation for Burnley this season, giving them a different dynamic that we’ve become accustomed to from a Sean Dyche team. He’s managed seven goals and an assist this season and has been unlucky to miss lengthy parts of the season due to some injuries too. They’ve got a potentially tricky double with West Ham and Southampton but will be desperate to claw themselves out of the relegation zone and Cornet will be key to that.
