We are at the business end of the season with just 7 more gameweeks left. The title race is on the line as Man City and Liverpool take on each other in a top-of-the-table clash. The captaincy this week is much more difficult and thus an opportunity to move away from the template. We have 3 differential players who you can rely on to help you boost your ranks.

Fabian Schar (Newcastle – Defender – £4.3m) vs WOL (H)

With the defeat against Tottenham in GW31, Newcastle has now lost 3 matches in a row, with two of them against the top 6 oppositions. Since Eddie Howe’s appointment, Schar has missed just 1 game and has 2 goals and 2 assists this season. In the last 6 GWs, Schar has an impressive 34 FPL points and ranks 3rd after Doherty (55) and Cash (47) among all defenders.

Their opponent’s Wolves have conceded 3rd highest shots and 5th highest shots on target in the last 6 gameweeks. Schar is also a threat on set pieces and has a good chance of keeping a clean sheet. With ownership of 1.8%, he can prove to be a solid differential option.

Jadon Sancho (Manchester United – Midfielder – £8.9m) vs EVE (A)

Sancho came with a lot of expectations when he signed for Manchester United and after starting slow, he has been quite impressive in the recent weeks. He has scored 1 goal and provided 3 assists in the last 5 matches. During this run, he has 8 attempts on goal, 7 from inside the box, and 3 on target. He has also managed to create 9 chances and 3 big chances.

While their opponents, Everton have been struggling defensively and have conceded the 5th highest goals this season (52). Everton have also conceded the most chances from their right flank this season where Sancho will operate. Current ownership is 2.9%.

Kelechi Iheanacho (Leicester – Forward – £7.0m) vs CRY (H)

Iheanacho has missed a lot of matches this season but has started in the last 3 GWs and also scored a goal in the last match against Man United. In his last 3 matches, he has 7 goal attempts, 5 shots inside the box, 2 shots on target, and 3 big chances.

In his last 4 matches, he has accumulated an xG of 1.24 which is the highest among all Leicester players. Looking back at his career, Iheanacho is a streak player and we back him to get a return against Crystal Palace. Current ownership is 3.2%.

*Ownership percentage is as of April 8, 2022, at the time of writing the article.
