It’s not even been 2 days since the last game and we have another deadline. We are into the busiest period of the season with 8 deadlines in 33 days. This is the period where all the planning goes south and the knee-jerk decisions kick in.  In this article, we bring you 4 differentials picks who can help you boost your rank during this period.

Ait Nouri (Wolves – Defender – £4.3m) vs BUR (H)

Wolves are sitting 6th in the Premier League table having conceded just 12 goals in 13 matches. They also kept 3 clean sheets and conceded just 3 goals in the last 5 matches. Wolves face Burnley who are ranked 15th for xGC (expected goal conceded) and 16th for xG (expected goals).

Ait Nouri wasn’t the first choice left wing-back at the start of the season but has established his place in the first eleven. He has now started the last 5 matches for Wolves, having assisted once and keeping 3 clean sheets. He is also averaging 5.2 points per match and with ownership of just 0.5%, the prospect of attacking returns along with a clean sheet is very much possible.

Jarrod Bowen (West Ham – Midfielder – £6.4m) vs BHA (H)

Jarrod Bowen has been one of the most consistent players for West Ham this season. He has started 12 out of 13 matches and has 2 goals and 6 assists for his team. He has 29 goal attempts (9th), 13 shots on target (5th), 5 big chances (8th), and 59 penalty area touches (6th) among all midfielders this season. He has also managed to create 19 chances and 3 big chances.

While West Ham have been doing quite well, Brighton have been struggling to find form having had 3 losses and 2 draws and conceding 9 goals in the last 5 matches. Another West Ham win is on the horizon and we back Bowen to do quite well. His Current ownership is 3.1%.

Ilkay Gundogan (Manchester City – Midfielder – £7.2m) vs AVL (A)

Gundogan enjoyed a good spell last season and made a habit of arriving late in the box and scoring tons on goal. He recently scored and assisted against West Ham in a 2-1 win and has been underperforming his stats the whole season. Gundogan is also the penalty taker for Manchester City this season.

His goal threat is evident from his 22 attempts on goal, 16 shots from inside the box, and 6 shots on target in just 9 starts for City. With low ownership of 3.6%, Gundogan can prove to be a good explosive differential pick for our FPL teams.

Callum Wilson (Newcastle – Forward – £7.4m) vs NOR (H)

After the appointment of Eddie Howe, Newcastle have looked far better side attacking wise having registered 32 goal attempts (5th), 19 shots in the box (5th), and 13 shots on target (4th) in the last two game weeks.

Callum Wilson is Newcastle’s top scorer despite missing a few games through injury. He has managed to score 4 goals in 9 appearances. In these matches, he has made 21 goal attempts, 17 shots inside the box, 6 big chances, and 7 shots on target. He faces Norwich and Burnley in the next 2 GWs and we back him to score a few goals. Current ownership is 3.4%.

*Ownership percentage is as of November 30, 2021, at the time of writing the article.
