2022/23 Premier League Press Conferences – GW25

ARSENAL

RULED OUT: Gabriel Jesus (knee), Mohamed Elneny (knee)

MIGHT PLAY: Thomas Partey (muscle)

The question mark [is] on Thomas [Partey]. He hasn’t trained much but it looks like he could be available, so let’s see how he trains today. He’s a really important player for us, who we missed in the last few games. Hopefully, he can be available. – Mikel Arteta

“He’s progressing really well. He’s doing more and more on the field and he’s not reacting [negatively], so that’s really positive. We want to have him as quickly as possible but also respect the timeframe we got from the doctors and the specialists. He’s really pushing the boundaries right now.” – Mikel Arteta on Gabriel Jesus

ASTON VILLA

RULED OUT: Diego Carlos (Achilles)

We’ve had a good week’s training, everyone’s available pretty much apart from N’Golo [Kante] and Christian Pulisic. They’re making progress, they’re joining in the warm-up at the moment and they’ll be more integrated next week. – Graham Potter

CRYSTAL PALACE

RULED OUT: Sam Johnstone (calf)

MIGHT PLAY: Wilfried Zaha (hamstring), Nathan Ferguson (match fitness), Joel Ward (calf), Tyrick Mitchell (knock)

“Wilfried [Zaha] is getting better and better. He had the last training session this morning, but we will have to wait for tomorrow to see the reaction.” – Patrick Vieira

FULHAM

RULED OUT: Tom Cairney (shin), Neeskens Kebano (Achilles)

MIGHT PLAY: Aleksandar Mitrovic (hamstring)

It will be difficult for him to be ready but we have some more time until tomorrow. Today he was on the pitch already, he was outside. Let’s see what will be the news for tomorrow. – Marco Silva on Aleksandar Mitrovic

MIGHT PLAY: Pascal Struijk (head), Liam Cooper (muscle), Marc Roca (muscle), Maximilian Wober (shoulder)

“There are some players injured, you know better than me. I have a lot of information that there are some players injured for a long time and to be honest, in the moment, I prefer not to speak about injuries.” – Javi Gracia

LEICESTER CITY

RULED OUT: James Justin (Achilles), Jonny Evans (thigh), Sammy Braybrooke (knee)

MIGHT PLAY: James Maddison (knee), Ryan Bertrand (match fitness)

We’re starting to get a lot of our players back. We have to see how James Maddison is though. He’s still nursing a knee issue, so we’ll just have to assess that tomorrow after training. – Brendan Rodgers

LIVERPOOL

RULED OUT: Luis Diaz (knee), Thiago (hip), Calvin Ramsay (knee)

MIGHT PLAY: Joe Gomez (hamstring), Arthur Melo (match fitness), Ibrahima Konate (match fitness)

We are not sure if all of the boys could even play again after Madrid because of some knocks here and there. We are really not 100% clear, so then we have to make changes and we will make changes anyway.

We cannot play all the time with exactly the same [players]. There were times when Sadio [Mane], Mo [Salah] and Bobby [Firmino] were very young, maybe they played a lot of games but even then we needed to make changes. – Jurgen Klopp on rotation

MANCHESTER CITY

RULED OUT: John Stones (hamstring), Aymeric Laporte (illness)

MIGHT PLAY: Kevin De Bruyne (illness)

I think Kevin [De Bruyne] is back today in training. Aymer [Laporte], I don’t think so. John [Stones] maybe will do partial [training]. This is the info I had this morning from the doctors but I will know it in the next hours.

RULED OUT: Che Adams (knock), Mislav Orsic (concussion), Tino Livramento (knee), Juan Larios (match fitness)

MIGHT PLAY: Mohamed Salisu (knock)

We have Che Adams, Tino Livramento and Juan Larios out of the squad due to injuries. We have a concussion for Mislav Orsic a couple of days ago, so that’s going to take him out of the squad. That’s mainly it, we had Salisu back in training this week. – Ruben Selles
